Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Index Card Match untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Membaca Pemahaman Siswa
Abstract
The background of this research is influenced by the low learning outcomes of students' reading comprehension. The purpose of this research was to determine the improvement of the learning process and learning outcomes for fourth grade students of UPTD SD Negeri 111 Barru through the application of a cooperative learning model of index card match type. The approach used is a qualitative approach using the type of classroom action research (CAR). The subjects in this study were teachers and students of class IV UPTD SD Negeri 111 Barru totaling 13 students, consisting of 6 male students and 7 female students as well as 1 fourth grade teacher. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests and documentation. This research was conducted in two cycles. Based on observations in the first cycle of teacher activity, the percentage of success in the sufficient category (C) and observations on student activities obtained the percentage of success in the sufficient category (C) and the test of learning outcomes obtained by students with an average score of 75 was categorized as incomplete. While the observations in cycle II on teacher activities obtained the percentage of success in the good category (B) and observations on student activities obtained the percentage of success in the good category (B) and the test of learning outcomes obtained by students with an average score of 84 was categorized as complete. Based on these data, it shows an increase in the process and learning outcomes of students' reading comprehension after applying the index card match type cooperative learning model to the fourth grade students of UPTD SD Negeri 111 Barru.
